    Hi,

I got an AT&T contract with an iPhone 3G several months ago, and I am discovering that I am extremely dissatisfied with the service. I paid a $200 security deposit as a condition of receiving service, and I want to cancel. Will the $175 (ish - it should be a bit less from the prorated ETF) be deducted from my security deposit, and then I will receive the remainder? Or will I have to pay $175 up front and then get my $200 back some time later?

    Thanks!

You get the deposit back after 12 months of service in good standing, so i'm not even sure you'd get it back

They take the ETF and any remaining service charges from that and u get the rest back. Remember that ur billed in advance so the last bill won't be as much.
