When I got my first Z10 shortly after AT&T began offering them, I opted for AT&T's mobile protection pack, which is $9.99/mo. Much later when we added another Z10 for my girlfriend we went with just the straight-up $6.99/mo plan for hers.

Z10 still considered "tier 3" in AT&T's deductible categories so $199 to replace the phone. That's not really kept pace with the current pricing for a brand new, unlocked Z10, so I bailed on the plan, saving me nearly $17/mo in insurance. I haven't used the insurance yet but at the original cost of the Z10 it made financial sense for the first year. Now it's fast approaching diminishing returns so it only seems right to cancel.

I'm actually planning on cancelling mine. I have a Z30 now, so I'm sure they will not honor the warranty for a device they don't sell. LOL

I haven't had insurance in YEARS. It's a rip off since I don't loose or massively break phones. I remember when it was just 1.99/mo

I have insurance on my children's, or more appropriately stated, young adults phones...they all have iPhones. Anyone familiar with these very fragile devices in the hands of the younger crowd can relate to this I'm sure. These iPhones are constantly being replaced as they get damaged and become inoperable far to frequently. They always have broken screens from being dropped and not from very high heights!!! Usually when they are attempting to slide them in their pants pockets...Grrrrrrrrr Far to often in addition from the screens getting destroyed they stop working as well from these incidents . I've never had this happen to any of my BlackBerries and they have taken serious hits...so for me having insurance on 4 iPhones has been very cost effective for me... :-)
