OK so I've been searching through this forum and plenty others, looking to get a definitive answer to the question: will my $5.99 per month Verizon insurance cover this water damage so I can get a replacement for $50 / $80????
I've seen some yes'es and some no's....
So, is there anybody who has dealt with this same situation with Verizon that can tell me for sure one way or another???

water damage is water damage we pay insurance for accidents it should cover it
I had a friend who dropped hers in the toilet she is in California it was covered
BB have an 89 deductible
I dropped my S2 into a bucket of water last month and it was covered by Asurion with a $50 deductible
If you pay 5.99 , you are grandfathered with the old deductible of 50.00
89$ deductible + 8 a month I believe is what the local VZW rep said. After a year you can outright buy most phones on eBay.

So if I go to the Verizon store tomorrow and bring in my water damaged phone can I get a replacement right then or do I have to fill out some papers then get it mailed to me?
And will I get a new phone or a refurbished phone?
VZW stores don't handle insurance replacements ( I think ) It is my understanding the you need to deal with Assurian directly, but I may be wrong. I would call the store first and ask.
