Check out Wi-Fi Calling in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/35524900

You will also need to install 10.3.2.2789 on your Passport. If the above link doesn't work, you'll have to sideload the .bar for this "app"

If someone can, I would love to sideload the app, since I have a passport and when I try to download it from the BlackBerry world I get the message: this app isn't available for your device... in my case, I want to be able to disable the wifi calling without turning the wifi off altogether... if someone can post the app would be great, thanks!

No. This works only on TMO.

You can also get the app by opening BBworld on your phone with a strong, T-mo cell signal, and you will see a T-Mo section on the left. Tap and WFC app should be there.

Sorry, but wasn't sure you did that after you had loaded the correct OS as it seems to indicate you do not have the correct OS. My assumption was it would load (and work) with correct OS. In other words, I think it SHOULD work. If you are running 2789 OS, have activated WFC with T-mo and put a 911 address in your profile, there is no reason for it not to work. I doubt side loading it will make a difference as it's just an on/off switch.

I think the issue is that it doesn't show up on some phones--especially like the OP's, that were never natively sold (i.e. cleared initially for WFC.)

Whether or not WFC is working already should be easy to confirm. It's default (whether you have the toggle or not) is on, right?

    Hey Raino,

When I loaded .2789 on my branded t-mo Z10, the WFC app did not appear (got it off BBworld on my phone). However, I was getting functioning WFC. It does not look like OP is getting WFC which makes me question which OS he's running.

Correct. On a freshly loaded OS, WFC will be on by default. The app is only needed if a user wants to de-prioritize or disable the feature, or check status for troubleshooting.

Yeah, I'm wondering about that too. I'm thinking since you have a model WFC was actively approved for, it (the phone model) is whitelisted for the app in BB World. A Passport--even with .2789--may not be.

Passport will not get the T-Mobile specific apps. A Z10 or Q10 would be able to get them.

This is why WFC isn't working for you. The app isn't the issue. In fact, the app isn't needed but does provide a layer of convenience.

Update to 10.3.2.2789. That's currently the only 10.3.2 OS with WFC support.

It's also a top game pick by T-Mobile. Apparently the WiFi Calling Game is popular with kids these days.

Not sure if it's categorized as a puzzle or shoot-em-up. Sometimes it seems like both.
