Hi,

I tried backing up BB, and i'm receiving an errors saying "Error backing up database(s). This occurs specifically when it gets to the Profile section. Could it be b/c im using o/s 4.3 and desktop manager 4.6?

i've uninstalled DM and reistalled it...tried doing a battery pull. Any way to solve this?

More info here please. is this the first time you're using DM 4.6? Which version have you used previously if any?

Have you had issues backing up via 4.3 or 4.5? if not then I guess 4.6 isn't for you until you upgrade your OS.

I had the same kind of backup failure when I upgraded DM to 4.5. Could never get it to make a complete backup. I tried up and down grading the bb OS to no avail. I moved back to DM 4.3 and life is good once again and backups work flawlessly.

One more question, I was reading blackberry 101 about freeing up memory, if you delete something that came on your phone like brickbreaker or help. If you need it later can you load it on BB again.

I am having backup failures with DM 4.6 and OS 4.6.0.134 on a Bold. Previously, I never had a problem with my Pearl 8100 (not sure the OS but got it Jan 2008) with my previous DM (v4.3, I think).

The backup failure seems to occur when map data is being copied. I have no idea how to do diagnostics on the cause of this.

I had the same error as tjaffer with the Backup stalling at the Profiles, first with DM 4.2.2 (which had backed up successfully previously) and later when I tried it on DM 4.6. This was on a 8820 with OS 4.2.2. ???

I to am getting an error in backing up the phone OPTIONS database. Desktop manager reports:
Warning
Error backing up database(s)
[Options] 7 of 12 entries retrieved
I thought this might be due to me running v3 of the Nathanix OS 5.0 on my 8330. I even wiped the phone with BBSAK and reloaded V3, same results. Now I'm thinking it might be one of my add-ons not creating an options file/database that is compatible with the OS or Desktop Manager. Anyone solve this yet?
