Iím getting sick and tired of waiting to see 8330m's 5.0os release, or even a beta release would be fine. Its crazy seeing boost official 5.0 came out and over all this time STILL NO 8330m ISSUE! I know so many of you feel this pain and can't wait to see it presented to us.

Unless they do some MAJOR work to 5.0 you will not be happy with it on a 8330(e or m). As leaked it's a memory hog even in its smallest form factor. Sure, lots of people are tweaking and touching it up to make it workable, but when you release something to the public it has to be bulletproof or your support calls will skyrocket.
Buy an 8530, it has 5.0 and 3 times the memory, faster processor and neato trackpad

I had an 8330 running the 5.0 from Boost and it was cool and I liked it, but I just upgraded to an 8530, and it runs circles around my old 8330 with 5.0. The old curves simply don't have the power to run it the way that it is supposed to be run. Its still useable, but you can definitely see the difference. Its like night and day.

RIM actually releases it early enough, however it is still up to the carrier to release it.

Just switch to the 8530, it makes the 8330 look pathetic.

Sprint or Rim hmmmm..........??? To me they are both to blame but RIM really should have the same OS across the board, that makes to much sense to me

RIM released OS5 to the carriers a long time ago, all of them.

Carriers dictate when it gets released, which is why there is no OS5 for the 9630, because they will release the 9650 before giving the 9630 OS5.

Sprint could decide to never give you OS5 at all, and there's nothing RIM could do about it.

However, I notice that most of the times out of all the carriers, it's mostly Sprint that takes their sweet time before they do anything.

Yep, OS4.5 on Sprint took something like 6+months longer than anyone else.

Yeah switching because of OS releases is utterly pointless.

Carriers do the same waiting game on any platform...

yes i have a touch pro 2 now because i got tired of waiting. it is not just RIM though...Sprint takes forever on alot of releases and updates. Even on the touch pro 2 sprint still hasnt released OS 6.5. I am really thinking of switching to Tmobile soon..its GSM and swapping phones is easier as much as i switch phones.

    Although i have 6.5 on my phone...mightyrom.

however, can t-mobile offer you the same service that sprint can. I assume you have an everything plan which has basically EVERYTHING, internet, texting, GPS, TV, unlimited mobile to mobile on any network. Does tmobile have all that for the same price?

I seriously doubt most people use Sprint TV very much, considering how terrible it is...

Worth noting that the Tmobile $79 is unlimited talk, not just unlimited mobile to mobile.
