I was originally with Verizon, but switched to T-Mobile over a month ago. A customer service rep helped me unlock my Storm and I have been successfully making and receiving calls and emails, as well as accessing the internet ever since.
BIG problem is that I cannot access business conference calls. I am able to call the 888 number and receive the prompt to input the conference call access code, but receive the message "I'm sorry, your entry is not valid" after carefully entering the access code to enter the call. The same issue happens when I use my daughter's Storm, unlocked in the same manner.
A collegue at work who has a locked, Verizon Storm is able to join this type of conf call without issue.
Also, I am able to successfully use my Storm to enter prompts for customer service calls; e.g., "Press 1 for English."
Solutions?:
1) No: I was told by the AT&T conference call operator to try muting my phone to eliminate background noise. This made no difference.
2) Possibly? The unlocking procedure may not have included removing some Verizon nuances. leaving my phone unable to send the access code to the conf call service of AT&T. Can someone point me to how I can complete the conversion/unlocking?
