I currently have Suncom Wireless and received a $400 bill in "iLink" charges and i havent used my 8310 as a modem. The representative said just for transfering data to my blackberry through the USB to my SD card, i could be charge for the data as if i were browsing the net. This doesn't sound right and im disputing the charges, but just wanted some feedback.

Doesn't sound right to me either. That's normally only for modem use, but I"m not familiar with your provider. Not right that they would charge for syncing info from PC to BB. I would Definitely dispute it.

The rep over the phone said they "investigated" the charges, and my phone configuration supported tethered web browsing. I wouldn'nt need to use my BB as a modem when i already have highspeed wireless on my laptop.

"Supports Thethering" and actually thethering - 2 different things.
My car "supports" speeding, but I can't get a ticket until I do it.

I see your post as the newest. I presume there was another recent one before yours that was deleted?
