Hi - rookie question here. I've got an existing account with Bell Mobility and was just given an unlocked 8820.
Will it work on Bell Mobility's new GSM network with a SIM card?? I need both voice and data.
I don't want to switch providers or sign a new contract right now.

No it will not work. The 8820 runs on 2G (edge) and bell only built a 3G network.
The only BlackBerrys that work on Bell's new HSPA network are the BlackBerry Bold or BlackBerry 9700.
