My z10 is unlocked and I was wondering if att could restrict the usage if I break my contact?

Your question is convoluted.

• Unlocked as in you bought it from them and had them unlock it?
• Unlocked as if you bought it somewhere other than AT&T for use on any network?

In any case, if you break your contract and don't pay them, they can put it on a blocked list and the IMEI will be 'burned' for getting service on another AT&T account. If you're leaving AT&T under good circumstances and plan on paying the ETF, you can just ask them to make sure they remove the IMEI from their system. Long story short, don't owe AT&T any money and the device will be fine. lol

I bought it from them and then unlocked it. So will I be able to use it on another service? I'm in a really bad financial situation and I just can't pay them. I also put a 300 dollar deposit down when I bought it.

First off they will keep the $300 and bill you for the remainder if any? You dont pay it they will send to collections, then think of the financial trouble you will be in.
