I'm almost ready to grab bold, but this is the one question I haven't been able to get an answer to. If I'm using the bold to connect my laptop to the internet, can I still make and receive calls?

Thanks. The lady at AT&T just kept me on hold for 20 minutes just to tell me she didn't know and give me the number to blackberry to ask them.

    I'm sold.

Let me rephrase, you MUST be in 3G coverage.

The device must be in 3G coverage to make/receive calls while tethered.

If you are in 2G/EDGE coverage, it will not allow phone calls while tethered.

Yeah that feature on the BOLD is amazing! I was surprised when I found out it could do this!
