In a previous post, I indicated that for the Z10 and I presume any bb10 device, if you had texting blocked on the older OS, you need to call TMobile and have them block it again.

It turns out there are many types of text messages to block. I had just blocked the 11 digit texts, that is texting from a phone. There are 5 and 6 digit texts from 3rd party services that will still come through unless you have TMobile block those texts as well.

I'm going to give TMobile a few days for the new blocking to propagate, then will try one of those email to text services and see if they are blocked as well.

I sure miss the old BlackBerry firewall. Even TMobile texts were blocked with the firewall.

I suspect this blocking is carrier specific and that the moderator not move this message. Maybe we need a sticky on text blocking.

I suppose "blocking TMobile SMS" will work.

I just tested the TMobile internet gateway and those SMS come through. Guess I get to call tmob again.

The TMobile SMS internet gateway is

It is a from a 4 digit sender.
