Okay, I'm new to Blackberry... But of course, I can't access the web when I use my browser because of the RIM outage, BUT if I go to the WAP browser, then I can access the internet.

    Anyone know why?

one uses RIM servers to gain internet access, the WAP browser uses AT&T's gateway..........i think.

I'm starting to receive e-mails but I can't access the internet. Makes me wonder if I should just ditch Blackberry. That's the second outage in a week.

Maybe this is the big switch to the new OS for all models! At least it is a positive thought!

I've only had my BB for three weeks and already two outages...and I thought my Treo was bad! I hope this is not what the future holds. I'm stuck with this phone now for the next 18 months!

If the WIFI icon is out then thats not blackberry related, thats your own Internet Connection...

Everything seems fine now at my end. I hope this doesn't continue to happen or else I will start thinking about the Xperia X10 if it comes to TMO.

I would hope that there would be some warning before an upgrade that led to a 100% outage.

The constant updates of BBM is also frustrating. How many times am I going to have to upgrade it? It seems like there is an upgrade for BBM every week. On top of that, we have the outages. I don't hear that other smartphone manufacturers have these issues.
