Can anyone suggest a good current site to get the unlock code for a UK O2 8310 unlocked, please?
The phone was my employers, they have liquidated sadly I want to try and keep the phone, but O2 will not want me to have the unlock code as the phone was less than a month old when the business closed!
My other option but VERY! costly is if i call O2 and try and port the number and account to me personally, all I want is to be able to use the phone and not have to re-build my entire phonebook onto another phone as I can't really afoard an new BB

CDMA Phones (Sprint, VZW, Alltel, etc.) do not have SIM cards and cannot be unlocked in this way.

All mobile phones you get from att, verizon, etc are configured to work only on their own network. You might remember that you used to be unable to keep your mobile number when switching carriers - another old tactic in the dirty unseemly playbook.

If you're off your mobile contract and shopping for a cheap 3rd party carrier, or planning to be overseas and want to be able to use your phone for local calls w/ the local phone rates <much cheaper than att international service as an example> then unlocking your phone could be for you.

This is a VERY easy process if you are under age 50. Simply take the following steps:

STEP 1. pop open your phone and remove the battery to find the IEMI number printed on the label <on most phones you could also access the IEMI number in 'options'>

i have my Tmobile 8900 curve.
it was LOCKED but i unlocked it using the code.

but i wanted to all my contacts so i did

settings > options > security options > general settings

menu >> "WIPE HANDHELD"

now it is again locked!

now when i go to settings > options > advanced options > sim card

i type MEPD

all the stats appear.

but when i type MEP2.

NOTHING HAPPENS. PLEASE HELP its really urgent. i got no cellphone at th emoment need to unlock this.

Ok so i kind of understand u but my question im with sprint and they dont have sim cards so my plan was to buy a cheap bb with a sim card off of craigslist to use in bahrain. now depending on what service it has tmobile or at&t and i have service with neither carriers how would i go about unlocking the phone if u need the sim card of either carrier pls help wit this

I lost my BB-8900 and a friend offered me a 8310 (AT&T)that she wasn't using. I am under contract with T-mobile, so it would only help me if i could get it unlocked. After surfing the forum and reading a gazillion pages, i got all the guidance that i needed to unlock it and puufff!
I have a phone again.

I just used UniquePhones.com to get my Storm unlock codes. They emailed my codes within 5 minutes. I have at&t, but the Storm was locked to VZW. It was fast, and easy. All they need is the IMEI code.

You would need the phones IMEI code, but if you're not a t-mobile customer, they might not want to help you. Good luck.

PS: Maybe if you knew someone on t-mobile, maybe they could call for you. That might work, I don't know.

Follow the script.They will ask for a phone number, give them one.

They will unlock it for you, regardless of customer status.

You owe T-mo nothing, there is no lawful reason for them to keep it locked.

Press the issue even if it means talking to managers and their managers.

ABOVE ALL, no way pay anyone or any service. They're selling you something thats totally free and they troll these forums for business.
