The venerable old 6750, with it's awesome green scale screen, uses CDMA 800/1900. My backup phone is currently a BlackBerry 9370 but if I'm going to go old school on the backup I figure I should go as old school as possible. That would be the 6750. Want one, have a line on one, but I won't pull the trigger until I know it's usable on Verizon. It was originally a Verizon model, so no worries there. The only question is if it will activate on limited CDMA frequencies. Does Verizon still deploy these freqs widely enough that I'll get a signal?

In theory it should work for a couple years. Do you currently have a BIS plan?

Have you had a mental health checkup lately!

It'll work until sometime in 2019 when Verizon shuts down the old 2G networks.
