So I have an unlocked T-Mobile 8900. I'm wondering if I have the Blackberry plan with ATT if it will allow me to still get push email. I have an iPhone so I don't have the Blackberry data plan and I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this 8900, I'm planning to sell it for now and get an 9700 when it comes out.
Does anyone know if this will work. Are you able to use BIS with an unlocked phone on other service providers?

If it is unlocked it will work on your network, yes you will still get email and everything.
Excellent, I had the same question with unlocking the 9700 from Bell and using with Fido. So the BB Pin will automatically register with the provider so long as I have a BB plan? Awesome
Hey carrierunlock maybe you can answer my question.
Can this be done. from what I've read I thought it could but i'm having no luck. I'm having no problems with voice, internet or BBM while on ATT. From what I understand all the BIS is tied to your PIN (BB servers) not your carrier.
Just to be clear i'm trying to get my gmail and owa work mail that is set up through Sprint's BIS, not my carrier specific email address.
Ahh. I just got off of the phone with ATT and they said exactly that. I was hoping to have BIS set up through both. I really dont want to carry two BB's

Yes and you will be able to use all features with Fido as well since Fido has Blackberry BIS plan.
