Haven't seen any of the sites listed in this forum with the ability to unlock a Verizon Z30. Are there any places available?

Hey Raino ... i was just searching for this and saw your response here. Is this the case for all Verizon Z30s? I didn't realize they were already unlocked. I am thinking of buying one and was looking for an unlock service.

    Let me know.
    Thanks.

But the question is, do I need to? If they already come unlocked, then I don't need the unlocking service. I assume you are "luckyman6886". So do I need it for a Verizon Z30 to be used on the Bell network? And if I do need it, how much does it cost?

Awesome. This is what I wanted confirmation on. So I can take this phone all over the world and just swap out the SIM cards. I love carriers that sell unlocked phones. You don't get that in Canada (that I am aware of).

Verizon isn't doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. They are required to unlock all 4G LTE phones because that was one of the stipulations when they bought some of their LTE spectrum.

They still lock their 3G phones because those are not included in that agreement.

So let me see if I understand this. Please forgive me if it is a stupid question.

So with the Verizon Z30, for example, does that mean that the phone is fully unlocked? Or does that mean that the phone is only unlocked for the 4G LTE spectrum? And their 3G remains locked?

Does that make sense? Can you have a phone that is partially locked, so that only some networks are locked (e.g. GSM, 4G, etc.)? Or is it "all or nothing"?

It is fully unlocked. When I moved from verizon to ATT with my Z10 and Q10, all I did was pop in the ATT sim and the phone worked. The Z10 only gets edge and the Q10 gets HSPA.
