Help! Newbie on here and have tried searching for a solution to no avail.
My BBM has just reverted back to what it was a week ago. All my friend's statuses are what they were last Friday, as is mine. I've also lost everyone who I've added in the last few days.
Any advice?
I dom't know what version I'm on as it's a work phone, all I know is I can't get the new v5 because of dam work security settings!
You really don't want the new version. It has massive memory leaks on my Bold and I often find it does not show the text I enter in the typing pane. Battery pull is the only fix for these, and 2 or 3 restarts every day is not acceptable. I removed BBM v5 and reinstalled BBM v4.6 a few days ago and it works much better. I look forward to going back to 20 days between reboots.
The problems you are seeing are more likely due to RIM restoring a server backup, rolling back to when it worked properly. Live with it, these problems should resolve themselves as your contacts refresh their status and push new data ro RIM's servers.
I am not having any issues- you may have a lot of people trying to download the new messenger so its a bit overloaded right now- Blackberry sent out a mass message telling people to download new version
I just downloaded the upgrade (5.0.0.57). After I rebooted it did not send any of the messages I sent out but then 2 minutes later it worked fine. So no problems here and I actually like the preview feature with the upgrade, therfore giving the choice of downloading a picture.
