I currently do not have a BIS account on my plan with Rogers, it hasn't worked at all for a little under a month but thats a whole different issue.

My question is, for the time being, is there any way I can get the app world to run strictly off of WiFi, because apparently like some of the stock apps that RIM ships these phones with, app world needs a network data connection to work.

Sadly as it is with blackberries if you don't have a network connection or that little berry symbol at the top, you will get a access denied message when you try and use, the browser or something that eats network data.

Anyone know how to do this, if possible?

And, generally speaking, most of the Apps available at the Store and that require connectivity to function will not work off of Wi-Fi - only with a data plan.

Looks suspiciously like RIM and wireless providers working in collusion at the expense of the user.

And makes one almost consider pulling out the old Palm TX again...
