    Any noticeable differences between .169 & .138?

Psh, yeah, a BIG difference. .138 was a big horror with my Pearl. It lagged, froze constantly, and for some reason caused my memory to leak just like the original 4.3. It may have been just my phone, because I haven't heard .169 doing that to any other pearls, but it did to mine. I love .169. Great Job RIM, for once.

    4.5.0.169 - i chose the 8330 for ESN devices

all I did was fill out my info since I got this directly from USCC website, then it took me through the process. I installed it via DM. It took me less than 25 mins from start to finish

I've got a 8330m and it is currently running the on .138. I have tried to download the new .169 and both times I've done it when it gets to connecting to boot ROM is kills my phone and reports a fatal error because it could not connect. Any help would great.

i'm new to the BB world. i got a Pearl and used it for a week (loved it) then took it back for a Curve due to the increased memory and better battery life (love it also). i put .169 on both and didn't have any problems but i don't really have anything else to compare it to

Just installed 4.5.0.169 last night on my USCC 8330m (downloaded directly from RIM's USCC support page). After updating, Options > About does nothing. No response when I highlight it and click trackball or hit enter. I've gone through most of the rest of Options and everything seems to work fine. "About" won't do squat.

#HELP* still works fine so I don't technically need Options>About, it's just troublesome.

If you have the 8330 (not the m version) I would highly suggest trying a 5.0 hybrid.

I snagged it for my verizon phone since the carriers are about the same and lame Verizon will not release anything until its too late. It works awesome. Ive had it on mine for about a month and a half now and the only problem I'm having is RIM keeping their network up and running!!
