- I'm taking the Blackberry leap next week. After spending the last two weeks on here, it appears that the Storm 2 is the only new release expected for Verizon in the next few months. Are there any others coming out before the new year? I'm still watching for the new Curve with the track pad, but it appears that won't be available at Verizon for now. Am I missing any?09-23-09 08:25 AMLike 0
- You don't want the new curve it has a lot of features taken off to make it cheap. I am looking at the android phone that is coming in OCT. I am not leaving because I have 15 blackberries lol.

I am eligible for an upgrade, but am gonna wait for several months to see if we can at least get a BB Tour with wifi or an iphone. The fact that they are still selling the 8703, which the GSM carriers got 5-6 years ago, is just absurd. BTW, the upgrade and 2 for 1 deals they have been offering have been real misleading. I'm sticking with VZ for the service, but they have got to step it up on the BBs in particular.09-23-09 05:15 PMLike 0
- They just released phones in the last month or so.
HTC Touch Pro 2 and some others.
I jumped ship from WM to BB. Not going back.09-23-09 07:16 PMLike 0 - This just in- VZ's phones are about 3 years late to the game. If AT&T would have gotten the Storm and VZW did not you guys would be complaining about that. Grass is always greener on the other side as it would appear.
BOGO deals aren't misleading - you just don't read the fine print.09-23-09 07:31 PMLike 0 - I am trying to figure out what is misleading about them? The fine print isn't even fine. The basic of the offer are laid right out there.
I guess some people see "Buy One Get One Free" in phones & they stop right there, thinking of the milk sale last week. These are the same people who want that TP2 for $200, but who don't want to do a contract to get that price.
What can you expect from people who demand fire sale prices, then when they get them, complain about the cheap build, poor design & data plan - then demand WiFi too.
Sorry gang - my only BlackBerrys from now on will be testers. I have no problem paying top dollar for quality. Cheap junk doesn't thrill me, regardless of how low the price goes.

- I'm not sure if you're just referring to BBs or all new phones coming to Verizon. Thats what I took it as (so don't jump all over me if thats not the case ) But anyways Verizon is supposed to be getting 3 new smartphones before the year runs out. There are 3 by HTC and one by Motorola. The phones are: HTC Desire, HTC Passion, HTC Predator, and the Motorola Sholes. All three of these run Android which really makes me happy. The Sholes is the most intriguing to me of those and I am going to jump the BB ship and go with the Sholes as soon as that drops in (hopefully!) October.09-24-09 01:57 PMLike 0
- Ah I see. Well BB has been a good phone for me I adore my Storm. Its just I don't use it so much for business (any phone could handle my business needs) I'm looking for more of a multimedia phone, and since I can't get an iPhone (the king of multimedia, don't argue that anyone) I'll have to settle for Android and the Sholes which will give me more the the MM features I want. But BB has and continues to make great phones. You wouldn't be going wrong with any of them in my opinion.09-24-09 09:27 PMLike 0
