Interesting. I wonder if part of this is also carrier specific. Obviously this is a RIM issue, not a carrier issue; however, I just this very moment got all my emails on my Verizon Blackberry. My personal Tmo Blackberry has been silent........

    Hiiii SD.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's worldwide as, like I said, it's a RIM issue - not a carrier issue. It is just interesting to me that one carrier seems to be, well, semi-functioning while the other isn't.

I believe that the resumption of service is account by account, regardless of carrier/location. We are seeing devices with some accounts receiving email, while others are not.

I stopped receiving email about 215am this morning on my BB Curve. Sprint in Dallas TX ... seems to be everyone. I do use gmail as my primary personal email so since I have the gmail app loaded on my phone, I can at least get my email! Glad it is an outage because I thought it was just me and did not want to have to head to the Sprint store this afternoon for tech help (would rather cook a nice dinner instead)! Fingers crossed they fix this soon!

Nothing here for verizon in ohio yet. Haven't gotten an email since last night

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
I've got 2 email accounts fully caught up (non-BES Exchange and my ISP POP), and 2 that haven't had a peep yet (both Gmail).

It took about 40 minutes from the first trickle until completion on the 2 that appear up.

"The server at bis.na.blackberry.com is taking too long to respond."

so it works for some not all and this is the first time i have been able to even get my phone on the bis site. I was on alltel with my storm and never changed it back to the verizon settings until today. I can finally use my email when it does come back up

Good point. What would determine which account is back up and running, however, if this were the case? I can understand the different locations and markets, and I can even understand the different carriers. I just can't understand what the determining factor would be if this were the case...

Further, I have several work email accounts setup on my PC. One particular work email account goes to my work Blackberry, and the other work email account goes to my personal Blackberry. Both accounts are on the same server, and only one is working (Verizon/work cell.) How does that work?

Agreed!! Hey guys, the silver lining is that BBM didn't go down ... well not fully. If it did, i guarantee you heads would be rolling.
