BBerry Mail is working.....a little bit slow though..............
If it is imperative for you to receive e-mails while this outage gets fit you may want to try this procedure:
Example ( G-Mail): open G-mail in your PC, go to Settings/Filters and create a filter that will forward your e-mail as an SMS to your phone, that easy......
Example of an SMS filter: starts with your number @ 2#$&^^%[email protected]
Guys here is what we have received from RIM on the Sprint side of things.
Event Synopsis: As of 0213 CT/ 0313 ET BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) 2.X subscribers may be unable to send and
receive messages from integrated e-mail accounts. This affects BIS 2.X subscribers nationwide on both iDEN and CDMA
technologies. Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) customers are not affected. The TRS trouble ticket is 5243361. This
event does not impact BIS internet services; only BIS e-mail services are affected.
Current status: [Update: 1st phase is still pending and RIM will have a better ETR when this phase is completed.]
History: Blackberry Support (Research in Motion (RIM)) and Sprint teams are engaged and troubleshooting at this time.
The RIM team continues to work towards a resolution to this problem. Sprint has received a few statuses from RIM with
no actual updates on the event. Currently the team is escalating to the VP level within Sprint. Also customers may not be
able to view email attachments or request to see “more” text while using email. This is a maintenance related outage on
RIM’s network. Technicians backed out the maintenance and it did not clear the issue. The entire BIS email (Hosted and
Integrated) service will be restarted which takes about 1 – 1.5 hours. The restart is underway and RIM will be bringing
service backup in 3 phases. This outage is affecting all carriers.
I never re-sent service books because I saw these outages before I got around to that. Do I have to re-send service books now (once they are back up) or should I just start getting messages?
