No e-mail service here on Verizon in NJ since sometime after 3:03am.

I just talked with a VZW tech and there is indeed a BIS outage. At this time she didn't know when RIM would get everything back online. Because of this you can't resend service books as that functionality comes from the BIS. I'm in Ohio BTW.

I noticed on my way to work I wasn't able to send/receive email - just checked with my family, they are also having same issue!

I already tried resending service books, deleted recreated by BIS mail - and now I'm on hold with Rogers tech support.... wasting my time!

I wonder if all those new WIND activations has something to do with the outage :?

I have four email accounts on my Bold, and all tests incoming and outgoing have failed this morning except one early success coming into my blackberry.net account. Sent service books, etc, etc, but still silent on AT&T in Illinois.

Anyone here an announcement from RIM yet?

Do you think that this warrants some type of credit from Verizon? I cannot conduct my business without email and refuse to use the gmail app. I know its not Verizon's fault but its not my fault either.

Strange that I can get to my accounts and "send service books" on the online BIS. I usually can't even do that when the services go down. At least I think it sent them - my Pearl was communicating with something back and forth for a almost a minute and response was slow trackballing around the screen during that time. Still no new emails though.
