Southern California here, carrier Verizon. service has been down since 2:15pm, it's 6pm now. i wanna punch RIM. this blows. any idea how long this is supposed to continue?? i read 24 hours, but when i asked Verizon, they said that's highly unlikely... however they couldn't give me a time frame.

Verizon in Raleigh, NC: Email, Web Browsing, messaging all out. This is starting to become an unacceptable habit. I sure hope RIM gets its act together soon. Went 18 months without glitch. I have now seen 3 outages of some type in a month.

I think the only thing I can do is SMS and phone calls right now. No BBM, WeatherBug, web browser, and presumably no other apps will work. I'm on Verizon in NJ across the river from NYC.
