I recently purchased a white q10 verizon branded
and I was wondering since I already have a black q10 on contract with Verizon, will it be a fee to switch phones
or if I just put my sim card in my new device, with it automatically activate it.
Or should I just go to my local Verizon carrier?

As long as it is clean... all you should need is to turn off the Black, swap the SIM, and then turn on the White.

I switch phones on a regular basis and I'm on Verizon. Swap the sim card over, then go online and log into My Verizon and activate the phone you want to use on your account. There's a few steps you'll need to take but afterwards you should be good to go. Either that or just call Verizon and deal with customer service.
