Well here at our tech center we just got a new web class for the phone that is due by 12/18. But it doesnt have a release date in it so i cant confirm the date as release but 12/18 seems like it.
The threaded SMS in OS 5.0 is pretty nice. If this thing had international roaming, I'd be all over it.
I hope its out quick. This is just a speed bump for the damn essex!

Worthless? All I see here is yet one more post saying "oh I heard that the 8530/tour 2 is coming on ___". Like everyone else has said after me, Where was this confirmed at? Where's the article confirming it from sprint? Otherwise its just rumor mongering. Perhaps this should be in the rumor section.

I was originally going to wait for this phone but glad I didn't and got the Tour. I played with Verizon's version and IMHO it's cheap feeling.
Now selfish me hopes the Tour 2 doesn't come out for a long time, so I don't have buyer remorse.
They gave us an online class for it yesterday (call center). No info as to when it's coming other than "soon". I already have the phone so it was nothing new to me.
