If I missed this in another thread, my apologies....

I just noticed that the "Wireless Update" option no longer exists on my 8330m after I upgraded the OS to v4.5.0.175

Anyone else experiencing this? Is it gone? Was it moved to another location or have I completely lost my marbles???

I did a battery pull after some issues today, and apparently it's back. It doesn't appear to be doing anything other than getting stuck at checking for updates, but it's there.

Same thing here on the Nextel side with the 8350...it was gone and now it's back but it just sits there checking for updates.

Wireless update DOES work that's how I upgraded to .175 OS. When I tried to update it did get stuck at 'checking for updates' but about two hours later I had a 'wireless update' icon appear on my home screen. I can't say it took all of that two hours to appear because I wasn't watching for it just noticed it about two hours after clicking for the update. After completing the update the option did go away but has just come back so it will eventually reappear. If you are interested in doing the update wirelessly then know that it can take a while after clicking for the update before it returns with the icon to actually download it, again in my case about two hours. Anyone who has done the update and no longer has the option should eventually see it return.

It appears to be fubctioning normally now. When I select it, it only takes a few seconds now to come back with "no upgrades available".

It does work. And well. I updated wirelessly last Tuesday, and other than temporarily screwing up my BBM, all went well. Remote Backup on the 5.0.0.33 works as advertised for saving and restoring contacts.

Mine is an e model Curve, for those on WAP.
