I have a Bold, and my girlfriend is on Verizon. She is not due for an upgrade so I want to give her my 8310 curve to use. How do we get Verizon to activate it and how do I get a sim card from Verizon? Called verizon and customer service lady told me that they will not put any device they do not sell on their network. She says even though the 8310 is unlocked they can still tell the device is not theirs by some other type of ID number from the phone. However I see a lot of folks here doing it. So how can I get this done? So any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks

CDMA carriers don't unlock like the GSM carriers you are accustomed to using. The 8310 is a GSM phone. It can't be used on a CDMA network. In this case, the Verizon customer service person is correct. What you are wanting to do can't be done.
