What is the difference in 1XEV and 1xev, my phone is typically in 1XEV but occasionally it will kick over to just 1X but last week it was showing 1xev. Can someone please explain the difference to me.

Not just Sprint's, but all CDMA. My phone is labelled "Qualcomm 3G CDMA."

Thanks for the descriptions! I too have wondered what each of them meant. Interestingly enough, I have been in 1X and able to get on BB browser. Doesn't that go against the description above?

No, 1X means you have a data connection. 1x is no data.

It's considered a 3G connection because it's part of the 3rd Generation of data but it's not like AT&T 3G, cause it's EVDO, i hope i didn't confuse you more lol
