Hello guys, I've literally been going crazy over this the past month, i want to update to 10.2.1, first off, i would have simply used sachesi, however i was having problems running it on the mac. that being said, i decided to go the much more aggravating route, of UNLOCKING my LOCKED ATT device, followed by going and picking up a T-MOBILE SIM card. i backed up my device using blackberry link at my house soon after doing so. HOWEVER, when i put in T-mobiles sim card to my unlocked q10, i was prompted an update, but instead of the update being for 10.2.1 it was for 10.1.0.2030 an ANCIENT update. what must i do to make this work. Do i have to restore my phone to factory settings, then insert the t-mobile sim, then update, then reinsert my att sim card, and restore using a backup?! i can't take another day of going without this update..

PS when doing a full device backup onto my mac, all of my pictures were saved into that backup file? Yes?

    Please help me guys!

    much appreciated

Do you show 3 unlocked lines? Maybe you don't have all unlocked and that is why you don't see the update to 10.2.1

I'm running 10.2.1.2102 .new STA100-5 unlocked from BlackBerry on AT&T .performed factory reset and inserted sim when prompted .downloaded update over the air . How do I find out if the update was from AT&T or blackberry?

The update would have come from the carrier whose SIM you inserted.

If you unlocked the phone, can't you just remove the sim card, turn on WI-FI and check for updates? I think this should provide an update from BlackBerry.

That never worked for those that tried that. For some reason, the phone is still considered to be branded to AT&T even when it's unlocked after the fact. Only when putting in another carrier SIM does it seem to override the branding.

It may also need to be rebooted a couple times for the SIM method to work.

^^^Yep, even unlocked evidently AT&T has their mitts still tied to the OS and it won't update unless you install another carriers SIM. The unlocked Z10 I purchased last year from ShopBlackBerry updated to OS 10.2 with an AT&T SIM installed no problem...damn AT&T!!! I am so pissed with them right now...Grrrrrrrrrrrr

So has anyone here just used the autoloading method of a recent leak (i.e. 10.2.1.2234) (knowing that you will lose some apps and messages...but that can be backed up and restored manually)???

10.2.1.2234 is not a leak - it's an approved carrier update. Therefore you can use Sachesi to install it without losing anything. (But you should always do a full backup anyway, just in case you need it.)

Running the leaked 10.2.1.2947 installed by autoloader. Link backend and installed all but one app. Amazon Store did not work. Other Android and all AW apps were just fine. Smoothest install ever.

    Unlocked STA100-5 on AT&T.

Since T-Mobile USA never sold the Z30 and does not support it, you will not get an OTA OS update for the Z30 from them.
