Has anyone here ever heard of someone ever successfully returning a new device, shortly or long, past the 14 days return period? If so, I'd like to hear how that happened. Carriers are usually pretty unforgiving if you go past the 14 days, or even past the data or talk time allowed amounts. It'd be nice to hear though if there has been some leniency given around this, because sometimes things with new phones or services don't always go so right.

Doesn't even work like that anywhere.
It's either 14 or 15 days, or 30 minutes, whichever comes first. If you can't test the device/service out throughfully within that reasonable amount of time (voice calls, keep to 10-30 seconds!) at work, home, play, then you'll be stuck with the device/tab until the period is over/lapsed. I ALWAYS tell people this.
