So I missed the 6GB plan specials when they were about and then the CRTC did its thing without actually considering how the carriers would get t heir revenge. So I'm stuck on a plan with a small allotment of data that I keep hitting my head against. Now I'm not going to give in and pay 100/month for an upgrade. Any hope at all of 6GB+ plans making a come back at some point for money that will also let me eat every other day?

I mean ffs, last time I went into a cellstore and asked them about this their response was. You don't need that much data anymore as theres free wifi everywhere..... Thing is wifi isn't everywhere.

    I had that 6GB previously.
My newer plan only came with 1GB, but Telus offered me upgrade to 3GB for $10 more. I took that and haven't had an issue. 1GB would have have made me nervous.

PS Where in Vancouver are you? I live in Steveston.

    I'm on the north shore.

At the moment I'm thinking my main option might be to bribe one of my relatives into giving me their 6GB plan.

I still have my old 6GB plan with Rogers for $30/mth plus voice so about $52 total.
If you work for the BC Public Service (teacher, hospital, municipal etc) message me and I will give you my contact in New West.

I have Canada wide calling and 6gb plan for $62 incl tax. Fought hard for those discounts which fall off in Feb 2016, and when they do it will be $95. Rogers lady said right now the plan similar to mine is $125 and when discounts fall off I'll still be at $95.

I got in with the 6GB super plan that Rogers was offering a few years back and will not switch out for the foreseeable future. They can't force me out as long as I'm willing to buy my phone outright. It's $60 per month before tax and I get the data, plus My10 calling and unlimited evenings and weekends.

It's pretty good compared to anything being offered now.

This reminds me of buying a CPU with 32GB of memory being told I couldn't use that much memory if I tried. Well I tried alright.

I have customer loyalty plan with Fido because I've been with them since they started. So my plan is: unlimited everything, international calling, 6 GB of data all for $55/month but for my first year, I had 50% off every month

When, and I guess more importantly, HOW did you pull that off, even with loyalty, 55$ for the dream plan, and then 50% off.... just ..... I think I may hate you

Lol its 50% off only for the first year, which I've already passed.

And I know, everyone is jealous of my plan

With the way LTE HIGH SPEED works on Rogers you need at least 5gb of data with normal data usage on a smartphone. Currently all price plans reflect the subsidy loss of three year contracts.

Big data is the new crack! In order to use 6 gig I would have to be staring at my phone constantly including driving to and from work. While playing with my kids. Anyone want to consider moderation?
    Thought not

I think it was harder to show you were in Thunder Bay than just having an MB number and address anywhere. "I'm buying for my parents who are vacationing in MB for the summer and I want them to have a phone with them with local number for their friends to call them on and be local, but I'll pay so it'll be my BC addresss...".

How to get the $55- Koodo sk/mb plan.

It doesn't exist anymore, the closest plan to it is now $70/month for BC Public Sector.
