I have a z10 and want to know if I should buy a z30 or passport

I just upgraded from Z10 to Z30. Big difference in battery life, features and overall speed. Truth be told if the Z30 specs and features were in a Z10, I would take the Z10. The one thing I miss is the perfect one hand balance of the Z10

Z30 is a good device, but kind of old. Wait until the end of march to see what they intent to release this year. If none pleases you, then you should consider buying a passport.

I went from Z10 to Z30 and absolutely loved it...battery life is phenomenal!!! But the only down side from my own experience is the camera. Z10 has a much better camera than Z30!!! Just my thought!!! SMILE!!!

I had a Z10 since launch. Eventually I got fed up of the battery life. So I bought the Z30 for £260 back in November. My only regret - should've bought it way sooner. I'm sticking with the full touch from now on. The future for a flagship is still ambiguous. I need a decent phone now, not in March or the end of the year. If it's financially viable for you, then go ahead and buy it. And when the next flagship full touch does see the dawn of light, I will buy it offline and pass my Z30 to my sister.

Z30 is a great phone. Unless having a PKB is absolutely a must , I consider Z30 as the best overall BlackBerry device out there (taking into account the battery, quality, handling, screen format, virtual keyboard, etc.).

I would agree that the z30 is the best BlackBerry phone out there. I upgraded from a z10 to a z30 and love it.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a device. I personally don't like the Passport because of its shape/size and the unconventional keyboard, but there are many who love it. For me, if I have to pick just one BlackBerry device to use all the time, it is going to be the Z30 (the Q10 is a close second). Z30 has the best of many worlds!

Passport - Business use more than personal due to screen size and capacitive keyboard.

Z30..its what I have and for just a regular all touch personal smart phone....simply awesome.!

Rocking the superlative Z30 (STA100-5)....just wow!

I think it's work it I myself coming from 4 z10s last year to this z30. But I'm waiting on the visa as its more my type best of both worlds but really loving the passport giving how long I'm gonna have to wait for the visa I may just get the passport. I actually love it and I love my z30 as well it'd been the best phone I've had to date.

I just bought another black Z30 for another extended family member, a long time iPhone user. Will be interesting to find out if he like it or not...soon.

I too went from a Z10 to a Z30 but the main reason was because of the price $250 CDN.

I've now had the Z30 for a couple months and it's a fantastic phone but then again, so was the Z10.

Personally, I like the form factor of the Z10 a little more but the Z30 just seems to work better. Some people have mentioned the screen isn't as bright on the Z30 but I find it's not an issue at all as I have the brightness on both models at about 30% and am perfectly happy with either.
The BEST reason to upgrade is the battery life. I made it through a full day on the Z10, barely, but was always worried near the end of the day and carried a car charger for insurance. With the Z30 I am always above 50% at the end of the day on the same usage.

If you do upgrade you won't be disappointed! Also, although it's a personal opinion, I find the Black model of the Z30 MUCH nicer! I had to get the white one but fortunately I had a friend willing so trade battery covers.

I know you would be happier with the Z30, cause I sure was happier with bigger screen, quicker browser and longer battery life. To mention a few. Not that I wasn't happy with the Z10.
Ya, I think you should wait also until the next phone comes out though, unless you want one with a keypad.
The Passport I have and I just love it, but it has it's place. I use it mostly at home and sometimes at work when I'm not using my Classic .
If you want bigger screen for playing Videos or TV or gaming I would get the Z30 or wait until the next one comes out, because the screen size on the Passport and Classic for that purpose downsizes to fit screen and is smaller than the Z10.

I currently use the Passport and will continue to do so as it is the best "Work Device" of all 3 bar none. However, exercise caution! If you are a light user, and battery is not an issue, the z10 is a great device. Small, light and one hand operation is easily handled. It's good as a consumer device. The z30 is a better device in terms of speed, and battery. It also has connections like miracast that are not available on the z10 if I remember correctly. It is great in landscape mode for watching videos and movies etc. Before you leap for a passport, ask yourself this. Is a larger device for you? It has its drawbacks if it is! Do you mainly watch vids and movies on your device? If so z30! Else the passport kicks everything else down the road! Reading, Browsing, email etc. It's just better. Sure the keyboard is unconventional. 2-3 days it will be your best friend!
