The Z30 should have been the Z10. It's as simple as that. Agree or dissagree?

    Could, shoulda woulda

    10.2 should have been 10.0

Q10 should have came out first

    Etc

I would rather have the Z30 than the Z10 though to be honest

    Oh man...

You always hear the argument "BB should have had the new [insert feature here] back at launch!"

They didn't, and nothing can change that. I've said it before: I'm sure Microsoft would have loved to bypass Vista and go straight to Windows 7, too...

I fail to see the point of the discussion, tbh.

If you think about it, this could be said about ANYTHING. The Samsung Galaxy S3 should have been the SGS2, the iPhone 5S should have been the iPhone 5, etc etc etc. While I agree that I think it would have done better (even among BB enthusiasts) had the Z10 launched with the features of 10.2, like TB said, it didn't. Now we just have to hope for the best.

I totally agree with this. Obviously it would make sense with anything because...well...it just does. That isn't much of an argument. A better argument would be whether or not the Z30 is too little too late. I personally think it is.

I am very happy with my Z10. I don't want a 5 inch phone. Some of the other Z30 features are nice but the screen size is a deal breaker for me. I want a phone not a mini tablet.

That doesn't even make sense. You can say that about everything and anything. It's really frustrating to see so many threads that have absolutely no thought put into them.

Disagree. 10.2 should have been the software at launch date. After the complete failure of marketing, the help that BlackBerry was going to use was word-of-mouth or however they call it. I know a few person that after buying the phone with 10.0 return it and pick another device.

I disagree with everyone. The Z30 should have been launched alongside the Z10, and Q10. All at the same time in one massive well marketed push.

Go big or go home. We know now which path BlackBerry picked.

Exactly, the outcome would have been much different, let the consumer choose what to buy from various options, not 1 model for everyone. BB screwed up so bad, they lost 64 Billion F$(*#*$()*# dollars in 4 years!!!!! It is mind boggling!

Disagree. Not everyone likes a phone that big to carry around. You do. A lot of people do. But I don't. And many others don't. Not one size fits all.

The thing is, we wouldn't have 10.2 without getting 10.0 out to users. But even assuming they could have continued the development effort without actually releasing, you're basically arguing that they shouldn't have released until they had the new feature set. Which means they wouldn't have released BB10 until... now?

Do you honestly think that would have been acceptable?

I disagree as I find the Z10 is just the right size for me. Had BB marketing not been asleep at the wheel & done their job pushing a fantastic product they would not be sitting where they are now. It would have been smart to launch the Z10 & Q10 at the same time and been more competitive on the pricing. Rocking with my Z10....

Like others have stated, Z10, Q 10 and Z30 at the same time would have been great. I kinda wish that I waited and got the Q10 instead of the Z. I really miss the keypad . I think it really wouldn't have made much of a difference converting a lot of people from Apple or Android due to the same old story of the lack of some popular apps.
BlackBerry blew it just like they destroyed the PlayBook. A handful of the popular apps and that Playbook would have been very popular, such a great device.
