I'll pass. I'd rather buy some a different unlocked retailer like Negri Electronics or similar, thanks though.

I was glad to just see the Z30 from a major retailer, but yeah, the prices are outrageous given there are cheaper alternative vendors.

I wished they'd get the Verizon model. I like Best Buy's insurance better than the carriers. And I could price match to get the Verizon store price.

Don't get the pricing. If Bestbuy is just getting rid of stock why the high price. If they are offering it because of demand and thats the best pricing they could get then yikes.

About $200 more than I paid for my Z30. This is why BlackBerry needs to sell directly.

Never would I consider paying $750 for a Z30. It's not worth all that.

I have no idea why BlackBerry just won't sell the Z30 directly. Sell it for about $500-550 and I would've been bought one from them

Ya, now that we probably won't see a high end all touch device for the North American market, I'm considering getting a z30, but not for 750 bucks!

I really want a Z30, since we probably won't see any new high end BlackBerrys until the end of the year.

$599... come on BlackBerry, sell me one. Take my money.

If I were on T-Mobile I'd be willing to pay $500-$600 for a Z30. But because I'm on AT&T, I'm a little hesitant to pay that much for a phone that can't use my network to its fullest capabilities.

My thinking now is that if the AT&T variant doesn't release by May or June, I may just skip the Z30 and wait for its successor that'll likely launch this fall.

My exact line of thinking. I'd get it direct from BlackBerry if it's available, but I'll skip it for the next iteration if half way through this year and it's still a no-show.

As ATT appears not to ever plan to release this phone for their subscribers, does the unlocked work in getting LTE?

Yes, if you have the right model.
I have STA100-5 and get LTE in different places near where I live.

The problem is that those "other phones" that are cheaper are light years ahead of the Z30....
...The Z30 should be retailing off contract for around $250.00 to $299.00.
...The Q-5 unlocked should be $149.00 at best.

A reluctant iPhone 4s user who would STILL be a Blackberry user had RIM not messed it's own bed by putting a "Fisher Price Camera" in it's "flagship" Blackberry Bold 9930.
Sorry, I can't take an iPhone user seriously complaining about prices, especially if the big critique of BlackBerry's is the camera, when you could've bought superior cameras in Nokia's, and now Sony's.

Anyone that would pay $750 for a z30 is a lost cause. They're easily had for $450 brand new and unlocked. Even that is too high for what you get though. Maybe later thus year there will be a device I consider worth the money, right now there isn't.

Interesting. Z30 not even worth $450? Some people consider the Z30 not even comparable to the iPhone 5c, which is $549, and last year's tech, wrapped in plastic. Or maybe it's just accepted that iPhones can cost more but BlackBerry's can't, even though the cost in building one unit is probably higher, due to the lower volume. What's realistic pricing for BlackBerry's, given the lack of apps/ecosystem? If BlackBerry can't hit those expectations from loyal users, maybe they truly should leave the device business.
