When I said you need to get it activated I didn't necessarily mean that it had to be a new plan. My son picked one up today and he paid for his upfront and kept his old plan. Previously when WIND has launched a new phone they've often demanded it be sold to new customers only, they seem to have relaxed the rules somewhat this time around. I'm guessing this has a lot to do with Lacavera being shown the door recently and the new bosses pulling the company back into focus.

I left WIND after 3 years and bought mine from Koodo for $550 and use it on Telus. I could have waited for the phone but I was fed up with the way the company was being run and jumped ship. Now it seems Orascom is pulling WIND back into shape after letting Tony Lacavera go. Is it worth it? WIND currently is selling the Z10 for the second cheapest retail price in Canada and the phone is well worth the $599 if you ask me.

ive been on wind for 3 years and love it. i think ill be buying this come april/may as im buying a new laptop next week . i think my curve can wait out till then
