Finally got my white Z30 the other day and it's going to be wrapped for xmas as a gift to myself. Anyway I got curious and pulled it out of the box and placed in next to my Z10. Is it just me or the screen size of the Z10 and Z30 are practically the same? I haven't pulled the plastic cover of the Z30 but it looks like the Z30 is just longer but screen wise they are the same? Please someone tell me I'm wrong about this? SMILE!!!

Z10 4.2 in screen Z30 5in screen. The Z30 has more screen to body ratio perhaps thats what you are seeing.

If the phones were both turned off, it can be quite deceiving. There is a wide black bezel around the Z10, which your brain will kinda subconsciously add to the screen size ... :-)

Check again when both are turned on.
The Z10 has a pixel width of 768, the Z30 has 720px.

As others said, the Z10 has larger bezels than the Z30. In other words, the front face of the Z10 has a lower percentage of screen than the Z30.

Z30 has a bigger screen, but not as bright or as sharp as the Z10.
But this is really only noticeable when they are side by side. I quickly got used to it and love it as my daily driver.
I wish I could blend the 2 phones, update the specs, and have perfection!!

Just wait until you turn on your z30, I think the screen and colours are absolutely beautiful!! When I hold my z10 it feels like a little toy compared to the quality of my z30. The difference is like holding a casio sports watch and a rolex, seriously, it just feels like a real quality upgrade. Enjoy.

The Z10 at max brightness is brighter than the Z30 at max brightness. However, to save battery life in my Z10, I always had to keep the screen brightness way down.

On the Z30, I can keep the screen at 60-75 percent and still easily get a full day out of it.

So in practical use (for me), the Z30 is realistically much brighter than the Z10 in real-life use.

I agree. That's why Z30 is my daily driver. The battery on the Z10 is pitiful. The speakers are also MUCH better on the Z30. (also excellent in the Q10). Op will love the Z30.

Thanks for the replies guys/girls... I'm still looking forward to this Z30!!! Going to be hard to switch to Z30 since I love my Z10. I might just switch phone here and there if I like it it I guess since all I have to do is remove the SIM card! SMILE!!!

They are tons of difference the battery as pointed out by others is number 1, it's literally night and day, the screen is bigger but it's not a lcd like the z10 so not as bright, speakers are amazing, it will feel odd for a while in your hand but you'll get use to it

Once you get an all touch phone in a case, they are hard to tell apart. The physical keyboard phones seldom are used with a case and look more distinctive.

I can see how you would calculate this, but you can't use the diagonal length of the two screens to determine that the Z30 is 19% larger.

The Z10 screen is 2.16" across and 3.60" high, giving a total screen area of 7.78" squared.
The Z30 screen is 2.45" across and 4.36" high, giving a total screen area of 10.68" squared.

This makes the Z30's total screen area about 37% larger than the Z10's total screen area.
