As you remember, some weeks ago, after BlackBerry discounts in India the Z10 went out of stock. Stores has been refilled but it seems that it happened again ;-)

BlackBerry Z10 goes out of stock again. BlackBerry Z30 may join the race : BBin – India 's Best BlackBerry Community

This is perfect news they need to restock immediately and get the z10 in the hands of many people. The z20 hands down will beat any low end android and windows device....i really wish they blackberry made an official extended battery with case (3500 mAh) to go with it

My Z10 doesn't look like that and never did wonder if they photoshoped it to make it look more like a smaller edition of the Z30. The Z30 looks pretty similar to my Z30 so don't think it's been altered too much

This is what happens when blackberry properly prices their phones :P If they can price the Q20 and the Z50 (or whatever the name will be) properly, they will sell tons of them.

I'm fairly certain the point is to keep the Z10 out of stock to generate headlines.

How many Z10s would the next shipment to India contain, anyway? 1000? 10,000?

Article says many stores are demanding over Rs. 20,000 for a Z10

We also found out, due to demand and less stock shipment to retailers, many of them started demanding over Rs. 20,000 for BlackBerry Z10.

Yeah the same companies have 24x the expenses. What's your point? It?s all relative. It?s not a competition of who can sell more phones. If my company sold 500 of my product per day, I would be long retired

Really? I'd say the opposite. In the very rare situation when demand for BlackBerry phones is high, you have to GET PHONES INTO PEOPLE'S HANDS! Especially for a phone that you overproduced by millions. Being out of stock for weeks then having them back in stock for only 3 days is a huge fail IMO.

Well I'm sure that they are trying to get as many z10s out there. Right now the z10s in my country are getting sold at about slightly higher than USD200, maybe 300, at around RM800-900, LTE versions (non TI OMAP chipsets). Compare that to the Q5s that are being sold at Rm1000-1200, and yet people buy the q5s more than the Z10s. The same happened to the Q10 top where it is still hovering about RM 1700-1900, exactly the same price you can get for a Z30.

Weird but true. That is how I was able to get a z10.

Yes, I'm sure there are indeed warehouses full of Z10s!

Consider that BB was making 2M units per month, for many months, and total global sales of BB10 handsets is around 6M.

BB severed production contracts for the Z10 at the time of the 4Bn loss. So, they aren't making any.

Anybody know if the NA version of the Z10 can be converted for sale in India? That has a lot to do with how many of these devices can actually be placed in this market.

    ROFL!!!! SAY WHAT??!

Um.... Actually it is. And yes, it is all relative, and 500 a day is not good. If they could sell maybe 5x that, keep it up for an entire year, and get similar performance in say all the g8 countries, then..., well it still wouldn't Be good enough. Lets go for ten times that amount for a year - them they'd be back in the game.

I reckon it goes beyond the item price.

The OS for both the PB and the Z10 were incomplete at launch and that incompleteness lasted for months whilst BB got their act belatedly together, always acting like they had all the time in the world to make that first impression.

Then, just as folk were realising that the Z10 was being sold at a premium price despite containing the buggy incomplete rebooting mess that was 10.0, Thor broke his promise on bringing BB10 to the PB. That lost BB a lot of potential customers and goodwill, I'm sure.

So, I agree with you that BB's pricing decisions were poor, but I doubt either the PB or the BB10 handsets would have sold in sizeable numbers unless the feature-complete BB10.2.1 had been installed on both. It wasn't available a year ago, and it's too late now I believe... BB10's time in the consumer spotlight is done.

You only get one chance to make a first impression, and BB blew it (twice!)

dont hope to much....BB need years to clear PB Inventory...(plus BB persuade the buyers with BB10 update)

Z10 already being discounted since (mid?) last year...and it doesnt help BB10 sales number.....

the question is how many Z10 being sold ? will it helped BB marketshare ? now their marketshare in india only 0.2% according to idc report
