Is there not a more recent thread than Sep. 07 for this topic?
The first time I tried blueapple.mobi, I downloaded a short comedy clip, and it worked for my 8100 Pearl as well as I'd expect it to.
Then I try downloading other videos, and I receive an error message stating "An error has occured attempting to play media". This makes me think that my 8100 cannot read the video type, but for some reason it worked once. Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this?
When I get on m.youtube.com I can view and hear the videos with no problem. The videos play without any "choppynes" I don't even have a high speed conection!! HMMMM...
I did a google search and read that several reports say that verizon changed the video formats that properly work on the 8830 for some reason or another. Whether its true or not i'm not sure. But for now it seems that .3gp extensions will only play audio and not video. The only thing to do is to convert the files using the desktop manager to mp4 since there is no OTA file converter that i know of.
Kinda makes me scratch my head as to why i havent made that switch to another carrier.
Hmmm well I am yet another verizon user with not picture only sound.... Is there a app that can play and save youtube videos? I am willing to pay for this.
