I absolutely love my Z30. It is hands down the best smartphone I've ever owned.

However, I miss the BlackBerry Bridge functionality I used to have with my old Curve 8530 and my PlayBook. And I also sometimes miss having a physical keyboard.

Now that BlackBerry has reaffirmed its continued production and support for the Bold 9900 line, I've been toying with the idea of finding a cheap (used) Bold 9930 to tinker with.

I have a question, though: can you swap SIMs between a BB10 and BB OS 7 device?

That would be the ideal setup for me, as I wouldn't want to have to add another phone to my plan.

Any experiences or suggestions you can share would be most helpful.

    Thank you in advance!

Barring the most exceptional of circumstances, I'm never going back to OS7.

Anyway, the physical requirements of switching devices is a micro SIM to mini SIM adapter. As for the plan, I'm not sure on the specifics, but as long as you have BIS activated (plus some amount of general data) you should be fine.

I still have a 9810 but did not use it. I can see how some still would though.

OP I don't know what "BlackBerry Bridge functionality" you might be missing on Z30? That feature is on the Z30.

It's not the full functionality OS 7 devices have. With BB10 devices, you can control your PlayBook from your phone, and you can manage BBM and SMS messages from your PlayBook.

With OS 7 devices you have that, plus you can use your PlayBook to manage emails, notes, tasks, and a few other things that are not available with BB10 devices.

And frankly, I don't expect BlackBerry to fully implement Bridge on BB10 now that the PlayBook is dead as a platform. It would be nice, but I don't expect it.
