After a heated debate of OS issues and issues with RIM on here and some threads I've been involved in, and a former BB users of 2 years and 6 different models... i decided to have a poll out of curiosity .....


And I'm not trying to start a war here or flame, but as a former RIM user I'd like to get everyone's opinion ....

I am ok with Blackberry OS, BUT RIM is not serious about coming up with better OS

There's always room for improvement, but I love my BB and wouldn't trade it for any other phone. I think most people here fall into this category

yes I am satisified with it, in fact I threw my droid in the bottom desk drawer with my wifes old storm 1. I am more satisified with the storm 2 then I was with droid.

I think its fine. while I've had iphone and android and they are great, I remember how poor the battery is in comparison and I am glad I use blackberry

Sadly, not satisified. After seeing what Android has to offer, I have to say that I would consider leaving my BB simply because of the OS. Our browser blows, that's one thing that's really hit me HARD after seeing my girlfriend's new android powered device, that and I just feel like our phones have a very ugly UI.

Functionality is OK, but at some point, aesthetics DO matter, and RIM has been either ignoring this or just plain BAD at it...

Being honest once you get use to it its great but there are a few things missing like a better browser and being able to run larger apps off the memory card, flash support, opengl support - so its a no for me as i don't see why the great hardware the BB has is being held back so much by the software.

In terms of the quality and amount of apps available, a definite NO!

two things and Blackberry would be pure GIN and juice in my book with the "software"..

1: multi-home screen support
2: widgets.

i still use the original OS on my berry and it works great for what i need. only a few minor glitches that dont bother me at all. i dont really plann on switching to os 5...well at least until an official one comes out

I am not satisfied....I have had to downgrade to version4.6.0.162 inorder to get my BB Bold 9000 to work as a dial-up modem via bluetooth with my Windows CE Trimble Survey controller. I don't understand why but all new OS versions will not work for me....I am hoping that a newer version will fix my issues and get my BB up to date.
