I'm 100% sure you know it's an honest error. To err is human. We all know what he meant.

    I might know he meant...

Couldn't pass up the opportunity, though. It was meant as a good natured rib.

Releasing a mobile OS that catches up with the others then putting up a "for sale" sign.

Yes but that's not the case any longer... I'm just wondering where they are putting their sign for " BB10 = more people that are willing to pay for apps and piracy isn't a huge issue like on android. Join us"

I am impressed with how get them have come in a year.

    Is it enough? No.
    Is it late? Yes.
    Is it promising? Yes.

The biggest thing that Chen needs to do after stabilizing the company for survival, is to come up with an actual Device strategy and then a Marketing / Brand rejuvenation plan.

From a Device standpoint, they need to create a Blackberry design language that is desirable. And, they need a real device strategy. This is non existant.

From a Brand and Marketing standpoint, this is their biggest problem and probably the hardest thing to do -- change people's opinions.

So, with bb10 in a good place, get a flagship phone (and the more cost conscious models, but with some liar design language) and put it together with a great marketing campaign and reboot the Brand.

Chen, give us the "cool" phone and make them all look like a family, like VW cars

For a company in BBRY's current position it's indeed remarkable effort.
We can argue if there is too little and too late in any new OS version, or is it OS yet even close to a state in which it had to be on a launch date, but every new month brings some update. We still have steady stream of improvements of OS and core apps, and still have some major OS versions in the works.

    I agree with trsbbs.

This is a hobby to John Chen.
Whatever track record he has in the past, he gets paid either way.
    Same as Thor.

    Companies come and go.

You can't expect any CEO to care about BlackBerry the same as its original co-founders.

    So it's a game.
    Simple.

If Blackberry fails and falls, so be it.
There are more important defining moments in life that we should be happy or sad about.

A year ago I was impressed because I was dissolutionned about BlackBerry.
Never would have thought it would still be failing today.
Is it a good product - absolutely.
But not popular enough because no knows about BB10.

Hopeful.....sure why not but ultimately, my hope does not convert to sales and profit.
