I opened a store locator web page using my BB browser and I could not see or use the map showing store in my area. A fellow BB user told my that is because BB's do not have "flash". Is this true and if so are there any solutions? Just FYI it was the Petsmart store locator page.

It is true, Adobe does not make a mobile version of their popular Flash application.

That's because the new Skyfire browser isn't finished yet if I'm not mistaken. There is a version of Skyfire that is our but I don't think that version has flash yet. Also there isn't a mobile version of flash period yet, because Adobe said they were going to work with apple on bringing flash to the iphone but that hasn't shown fruitful yet. Also the new BB browser from my understand is suppose to incorporate flash when it releases but that will be next summer.

other mobile platforms have mobile flash, android is one i believe, and skyfire with flash is available for WiMo phones. There is just no Blackberry soloution... yet. Skyfire is coming soon, plus eventually (read >1yr) a webkit based blackberry browser with the help of recently acquired torch mobile, that i would assume will eventually become flash friendly. As of right now, however, there is no options, but to just wait for Skyfire.

This has happened to me before, very frustrating. Although is not a web browser solution I found that the POYNT app helped on finding locations and mapping them, you might want to give it a shot.

Generally speaking any solution like this is faster and better than flash (Google Maps, etc).
