I watched Toby Shapshak's Ted Talks today, and in it, he asked if anyone in the audience were embarrassed for using a BlackBerry, and people laughed.

I like to show off my Z10 when I pay by tapping my phone at a Tim Horton's, or when I take photos with it in public, and love it when I surprise people that it's a BlackBerry.

What about you, are you sometimes embarrassed?

I actually find I get people curious about it on the subway all the time. They have this view of what BlackBerry is and isn't. They are often surprised to see me flipping through apps that they didn't know it had, using it for more than email, browsing on it at high speeds, playing graphically rich games, watching videos etc. Even the OS itself.

I was in a shop today (fishing) and they were pushing their Shop app, I asked if it was available for BlackBerry, answer "Android only", "not iPhone" I asked, "no" they said. The assistant told me he was ashamed of his iPhone because he tried to update his iPhone 4 to a 5 so now it doesn't work to well. I showed him my Z30 which impressed him.
Do I feel ashamed "Hell no".

To tell you the truth I'm embarrassed to see people carry iPhones around. I actually get embarrassed sitting next to them. Anyways I enjoy my BlackBerry so no embarrassment here.

I don't know...if the Nextel ones still worked, i'm not sure I'd want to be seen extending my antenna. Or having to say, sorry but this device can only do data, it doesn't have voice capability.

I love Blackberry, but I have my limits.
