Phi. "Support cost money". Agree, can you tell me how much per handset or per model in ball part (carrier specific? I can't imaging they are all the same).

I am not sure what makes a person that entitled to demand BlackBerry to have Google Play Services on a BlackBerry device.

    Let me ask you then.

Is a limitation on the apps a numbers game, or a set in stone "this is all we have"?

I think you and I know what is the answer. No ifs, no buts.

To you, your personal preferences may dictate that there must be a certain amount of apps needed. For me, that is irrelevant to what I see in a BlackBerry phone.

And per se, the BlackBerry PlayBook wasn't even a full fledged tablet. It was and rightfully so, an accompanying accessory that fits into the legacy BlackBerry devices. I think BlackBerry was the only hardware vendor that made tablets in that view, apart from the now defunct Palm.

It is not me, it is the market. BlackBerry and Microsoft have shown that the market will not give much consideration to a device that lacks the major apps, unless you make the device extremely cheap (Lumia 520), and BlackBerry is trying the Z3 to get some traction.

The PlayBook was never marketed as a BBOS accessory device. It was just a feature. In fact all the ads I saw never showed a BBOS phone.

I'm not demanding Google Play services, simply stating that more and more apps require them to operate, and if BlackBerry is going to rely on Android apps to complete the ecosystem then they need an official way to load them and support Google Play services to make them work.

You can argue preferences all you want, but the market and BlackBerry 10 sales numbers show that their is a severe issue with the current BB10 business model.

I am one of those who are getting those emails offering $200 off to switch to Samsung Note 3 or Galaxy 5. While I will stick with BB until the end, my wife does want one of these. She is asking if I could get then switch back to the Z10 and give her the phone.

I did not know that the market is that entitled to have BlackBerry to serve them even if they are not the primary / intended customers.

On a second thought.. Nobody made them choose a BlackBerry as a consumer device no? Enterprise customers did to an extend made legacy BlackBerry devices shoved down to their employees.

But has it ever been that BlackBerry has to serve the whatever "market" you are speaking of in that sense of entitlement?

Because I clearly don't see it / things that way.

@Phi ~ You tell me nothing I can't read for myself. No new info from you! That's the problem with "devs", they always feel the need to dumb-down everything, including the obvious. Do you even own a BB?

@cbvinh ~ No, I'm not so desperate that I would pay that price. And if I were, is it any of YOUR business what I feel is right to pay? I happen to like BlackBerry and used to pay upwards of $600 for a new one WITH a 2 year contract.

At this time I won't be switching to T-MO and here is why:

They aren't completely truthful about their paying off your contract fees to switch.

What they do: T-Mo puts you in collections.

How? They make you jump through hoops to "prove" you are current with Big Red (30 days), then they take about another 30 days to process the refund gift card they send to you (we are now at 60 days, just clarifying so Phi doesn't feel the need to), THEN they send you the card, at which time your contract to Big Red has been unpaid for 90 days (you are in collections) because YOU thought THEY were going to pay it off! Total BS IMHO.

As for what shop offers, it's only a GSM NOT a CDMA phone and I want a CDMA phone.

If I didn't hate all things "Apple" and "Google" I'd switch just to get away from the "angry", hostile personalities I encounter on this site.

Such a shame. I remember when the BB community was just that ~ a community. Not a bunch of "know-it-alls" with a few ugly "trolls" trolling around.

Yep 7 days before I sold it to a corporate user for his byob service

Can't say it was a happy experience
Pretty sure bbry's customer satisfaction from consumer reports and acsi and high return rates and 2.5billion in write offs pretty much tell the story

Are you sure you are reading the news?
Pretty sure bb10 devices don't sell period
Can you honestly say that you rather carriers buy your said bb10 to stock 5-10 DECIXES that sit on the shelf for months and hope that once in a blue moon they sell a bb10 phone?
I rather they employ more people then waste space and money on something that doesn't sell

Ask bbry how much bb10 is wasting in their warehouses
Oh right 2.5billion dollars worth of inventory and returned devices
If bbry can't sell their devices their returned and unsold stock how do you expect others too?
You want people to be unemployed ?

OK do you like to troll or what since when did i ever address the uncarrier policy?
I never mentioned the uncarrier policy at all actually it was a current bbry user poster who was helping you with the bbry news that everyone keeps reminding you of

I mentioned the 100 dollar off coupon that bbry and tmobile gave that is instant coupon you know the code that they provide when they have you order the phone
So do you read at all?

@Phi ~ go be an out of touch "dev" and develop something other than bad feelings.

Just bought a Z30 the other day and it comes tomorrow, so I guess they are selling.

Not MY fault the world has become so "dumbed down" they can't see a superb device in front of them if flashing lights, bells, and whistles aren't going off in apps to show them.

The world has a choice ~ play Angry Birds on the phone OR get some real business done on their phone.

Phi, we're done. You have nothing of interest for me to read

Yes but one could make the argument that if BlackBerry didn't put any effort in advertising the Z10 or Q10, why should T-Mobile waste floor space on it when other manufacturers are spending lots on advertising. Plus returns were likely higher for BlackBerry 10 as the software was a little unstable at launch and the app situation was there.

BlackBerry released products before they were ready to appease the stock market, then put up a for sale sign in the company, and Thorsten was planning on unloading the company anyway for massive payout. T-Mobile allows you to bring your own phones so all T-Mobile is doing is eliminating the zero percent device financing. I am constantly amazed by the people in here that expect carriers to shoulder 100% of the burden to sell BB10 devices that BlackBerry hasn't even committed 100% to yet (Bold, Classic, etc).

Since you only got 2 choices ironically both Verizon or 3rd party even if you used the shop.blackberry.com it's still verizon and neither are store bought

You have been suggested you goto a online
Ya 1 phone out of 2.5billion in write offs so are you going to write to New York Times to tell them how you saved bbry with one phone purchase ?
    I think not

Are you seriously a troll? You know it is reportable

Countless of people have helped you but you refuse to listen and keep going on about how carriers are unfair when it was bbry who stopped you from going to tmobile

READ what I wrote. I am not complaining, I observed. I never said carriers are unfair, I said they should try to sell devices NOT try to NOT sell them. That's their job. I don't go into stores asking what THEY think I should buy, I ask to see what I want.

    I wasn't saying I am a troll, I was saying YOU are.

And I wasn't asking for help, I was simply commenting.

I am a BB girl and love them. That is my right in my country. I can like what ever I want.

Keep posting from your Android Crackberry app. Why are you even commenting on BB's when you are obviously and Android fan?

Except bbry publically canceled their contract do you not understand that
How many more have to point that out?
You are talking about this 2 days before the planned canceled contract
Again what do you hope to accomplish ?
Sales People losing their jobs because bbry needs cash for not selling devices ?
So with 5 people pointing you to the faults of bbry's relations with tmobile, and you fighting with all of them I'm the troll?
I'm not name calling just calmly among other people are pointing you to the facts people have posted to you what horrendous job bbry has done to sell bbry 10
So if 5 people posted facts to you they are all wrong?
Vrud cbvinh and others are all wrong?

    Not conspiracy theories
I suggest you read what people are saying to you
