I've recently heard that the new iPhone 5S will come in an option of color Gold or Silver. I mean what's the point of having a Gold color iPhone? Does that change anything? It's still the same iPhone but just has one added spec, the fingerprint scanner. Would you want a BlackBerry 10 device in gold? Coming to think about it I'm thinking that having a gold Z10 wouldn't be bad after all. What are your thoughts?

No, I want a white Q10, or a white 9900, or a red BB10.

However, the champagne colour iPhone with the gold trim I've seen is very nice, I really like it, it's not gaudy BLING BLING gold. I would get it, if I were go get an iPhone right now. As far as the features, we'll see what they are on Sep 10.

Personally, it's not my cup tea. i prefer darker, non flashy colours on my devices. From what I've been reading, the gold is said to be something Apple is hoping would attract sales in certain markets that seem to like that colour. BlackBerry has done the same thing with their gold Q10 in Dubai.

I love having color options, if there is a white option, I will buy it, if there is a lilac option, I will buy it, also a silver option ...

Some people love the gold color IMHO is not a nice color for a phone hehehe

No. Gold phones to me always strike me as very tacky and cheesy. I could definitely go with a muted grey like titanium or gunmetal however.

i personally love silver/metal phones against black (htc one tips vs its black screen border) and red and black phones or silver and white, i think gold is a bit gaudy and gives the phone a look at me i should be hanging from a chain on snoop dogs neck vibe, saying that the gold iphone 5s i just glanced at on google looks really subtle and classy

Probably to appeal to the many people who do like gold and like the iPhone.

I personally don't like the gold they're using, and generally think gold looks tacky. But it seems like there's a market for it in the Middle East and parts of Asia, and those markets are pretty important to be popular in.
