Umm phones rely in software to work so... if you had a quad core or dodecacore and the os is crap well its useless.

For now, better software that gives even better battery life and I'm good
Although it doesn't really matter if you have the best OS on the market and crap hardware, as it relies on the hardware

A bit of both love my Z10's design but it should have had a bigger battery (capacity wise) and the OS is fine but could use some tweaking

Both. Shouldn't have to compromise. No reason why they can't make new hardware to put the updated software on.

Software. They can make better hardware in months (maybe a year), but good OS takes years. If you screw it up you might never be able to fix it without making it incompatible

The hardware is pretty good already. I want better software features and more apps. Software, software, software.

Definitely software. I don't care what the housing looks like that contains the software, but I want something to be totally smooth and an awesome user experience. BB10 is getting closer to that, but still not there. Still to many stutters and messed up scrolling, things disappearing and reappearing for no reason and some other quirks

It's always been about software and the UI. The capabilities of QNX are vast which will allow for some very interesting innovation I believe. Software all the way BlackBerry

I like how the software takes advantage of the specs if the phone. What do we really need an octa core device the dual core seems to handle everything well.

Honestly I'd still want the octacore. In 2-3 years games will probably have ridiculous graphics that demand more cores or something. It's not necessary but I don't want a case where the phone would be limited to small os updates in years to come. Probably would have more to do with ram rather than cores tho

More focus on software. Longer gaps between new phones. Can't be upgrading so often lol.

I think for business use thats like with the Dell Latitudes, HP Probooks, ThinkPads - you need only one device for 2/3 Years(laptop: i5 or i7, phones: 400/800)with a good software(laptop: Win 7, phones: BB10) and hardware with 2GB RAM for phones and 8GB Laptops is ok.

All this thread shows is that CB'ers who already own BB10 devices now understandably want the OS to progress. Those who do not own BB10 devices have either moved on or are waiting for better hardware (Belfastdispatcher excepted).

What better hardware are people waiting for ? Its already a huge leap from legacy hardware.
