Is it worth it look for an 8330?

I have an 8330 and am perfectly happy with it - email, twitter, BBM, full keyboard - all meet my needs.
Touch screen or OS6 would be nice, but I really don't need them...they are more of a want than anything else.08-28-10 01:42 PMLike 0 - Agree with the 9650 comments. It is a major upgrade from the 8330. I loved my curve, but the Bold beats it in every aspect.08-28-10 01:47 PMLike 0
- I've owned both and can say that the 8330 was a solid device, yes the 9650 is superior in speed and many other ways but the 8330 is not a bad phone.
op- try the martketplace on here or ebay/craigslist, i wish i still had mine08-28-10 04:24 PMLike 0 - Two of my close friends have 8330 curves, and they absolutely love them. The are NOT hardcore blackberry users or abusers, they simply want smartphones they can check email on, check the weather, get good battery life and good reception, and they absolutely swear by their Curves.
It depends on what you want out of your BB. If you only have basic smartphone needs (the browser is very weak, imo, and painfully slow) the Curve 8330 is an excellent device.08-28-10 04:34 PMLike 0 - It's only old or obsolete if it no longer meets your needs.

There isn't that many good apps for the blackberry. I have 512mb on the 9650 and only have less than 10 apps. IMHO they only run a little snappier on the 9650. Blackberry apps don't seem to be as hardware dependent and blackberry hardware hasn't changed much through the years. You could probably pickup an 8330 pretty cheap whereas the 9650 will cost you (not as much bang for the buck).
---edit--- oh wait you got a trackball DOH!!

The Curve's Trackball is much better fire brickbreaker than the touchpad! :P
The Curves Body was sooo much stronger
And the Keyboards are a preference different.
I love the Bold style keyboard but have friends who love the Curve.
I just upgraded my second phone from my 8330 to a 9300, and I gotta tell you I do miss my 8330, it was a workhorse of a phone, it's build quality was superior to that of my 9630 and this 9300
IF all you need is email/BBM/phone, I say get the 8330 if you can find one, probably cost ya less than $100. if you want more out of the phone, the 8330 isn't for you.08-30-10 11:22 AMLike 0 -

Calls are clear, has more memory and it will be getting the new OS and browser. You will have a two year contract and I suggest going with what will take you further. You won't regret having the Bold.08-30-10 12:14 PMLike 0
