when i try updating my blackberry via the wireless updater in advanced options, it tells me no updates are found.

then when i try and do it through the desktop manager, it also says no updates are found, but when i click on the versions button, it shows me that os5 is available. then when i try and download it, it tells me i need a blackberry subscription?

how do i get around this? i want os5. im currently running os4 and its got bugs im sure are fixed with os5.

You can try downloading it from
BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites

    Install it and go to:
    C:/ > Program Files (x86) > Common Files > Research in Motion > apploader
    Delete vendor.xml and run loader.exe

Also if you do not have a BIS data plan then you may want to disconnect your pc from the internet while updating you OS. Also be sure to go to your Desktop manager and back up your info prior to the update. And make Desktop manager is fully closed before running loader.exe
